Monitors are live: get a webhook when any Shopify store changes a price, sells out, or starts a promo

Shopify data for your apps and AI agents

Ask about any Shopify store and get its traffic and sales estimates, apps, theme, live ads, competitors, and the people behind it. Your agent calls it over MCP. Your code calls the same data over REST.

[ WITHOUT SHOPLENS ]

Shopify store data is hard to get and harder to keep fresh

Every app, agency, and analyst selling to Shopify merchants ends up writing the same scraper. It breaks, it misses what changed, and it can't tell you how much a store sells.

  • Scrapers break every week

Every store runs its own theme, paginates its catalog its own way, and rate-limits you. Your engineers end up maintaining proxies and parsers instead of the product customers pay for.

  • Storefronts hide the numbers

A store page shows products and prices. Traffic, sales, installed apps, and the team behind the store sit in several other tools, each with its own format and its own bill.

  • Changes slip past you

A competitor cuts a price or sells out on Tuesday. Without something watching each product, the people using your tool find out days later, or never.

[ FOR AI AGENTS ]

Give your agent a tool for every Shopify store

Connect the ShopLens MCP server and your agent can look up stores, read catalogs and ads, find the right contact, and set monitors on its own. Answers come back as compact JSON instead of raw storefront HTML, so they use less of the context window.

Claude Code
claude mcp add --transport http shoplens https://mcp.shoplens.dev/mcp

Works with any MCP client, including Claude, Cursor, and VS Code.

[ MONITORS ]

Watch any store and get a webhook when it changes

Point a monitor at a store or a single product. We check it and send your endpoint what changed, before and after. Price trackers, restock alerts, and competitor feeds stop needing a crawler of their own.

Stock and sell-outs

A variant runs out or comes back in stock.

Price changes

Old price, new price, and the variant that moved.

Promotions

New compare-at prices, discounts, and sitewide sales.

Product images

Photos added, removed, or replaced on a product.

New products

Every product a store publishes, the day it goes live.

App installs

A store adds or removes an app from its stack.

  "compare_at_price": "89.00",

[ EXAMPLE ]

A competitor drops the Linen Throw by 20%. Your user gets a Slack message from your app a few minutes later.

[ HOW IT WORKS ]

From domain to data in three calls

Authenticate with one API key and call a REST endpoint. Every response is JSON.

GET /v1/stores/lumen-goods.com
curl https://api.shoplens.dev/v1/stores/lumen-goods.com \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $SHOPLENS_API_KEY"

Send any Shopify domain and get the store profile: traffic and sales estimates, country, currency, apps, and Plus status.

[ USE CASES ]

What developers build on ShopLens

You build the product. ShopLens supplies the Shopify data underneath it.

Competitor trackers

Dashboards that show merchants what their rivals charge, stock, and promote, updated by monitors.

Lead scoring for apps and agencies

Enrich a list of store domains with category, Plus status, installed apps, and estimated sales, then pitch the best fits first.

Repricing tools

Feed competitor price and stock changes into pricing rules as soon as the webhook arrives.

Market research

Compare traffic, sales, and catalog size across the stores in a niche before you enter it.

Product research

Track best sellers and new launches across the stores you follow.

AI agents

Sales and research agents that look up a store, its ads, and its team before writing the first email.

[ FAQ ]

Questions developers ask us

Something missing? Email us and we'll answer it here.

Which stores does ShopLens cover?

Any public Shopify store. Send its custom domain or its myshopify.com address and we resolve it to the same store.

How are visits and sales estimated?

We model them from public signals on each storefront. They're estimates, so they work best for comparing and ranking stores, not as exact revenue figures.

How do monitors notify me?

Each monitor has a webhook URL. When a check finds a change, we send a JSON event with the store, the product, and the values before and after.

Can my AI agent use ShopLens?

Yes. Add the ShopLens MCP server to Claude, Cursor, or any other MCP client and the agent gets tools to look up stores, products, ads, and people, and to create monitors.

What does the API return?

JSON over REST. You authenticate every request with an API key in the Authorization header.

Can I use ShopLens data inside a product I sell?

Yes. ShopLens is built for developers who ship tools to other people, so you can show the data inside your own app.
